Schedule of Events

Thursday April 3, 2008 Golf Tournament

Come join the fun! Please sign-up using the Golf Tournament Application.

This year’s tournament will be the 15th Anniversary for the golf tournament and is scheduled for April 3, 2008. We’ve had lots of interest from both new and past participants who are eager to join us in our 4-Person Rodeo Scramble this year. So, even if you do not have the names of all your players, send in your entry form along with your check so we can secure your spot. Because numbers limit us, we want to provide you with as much advance notice as possible. Registration is on a first come basis, so do not delay. “Polecat Poker” will be offered again this year for those of you who wish to try your luck at drawing the winning hand and receiving a special foursome at a local golf course.

Dinner after the tournament will be held at Harold’s Cave Creek Corral where golf tournament prizes for winners, raffle ticket prizes, and the poker tournament play-off will take place.

For any questions, contact Dick Gernandt at 480-502-8149 or 602-376-4765.

Friday April 4, 2008 at the Memorial Arena

• 10:00am - WPRA Rodeo

• 6:00pm - Mutton Bustin for Kids age 4 - 7

Mutton Bustin is the most entertaining event allowing aspiring cowboys & cowgirls to show their true grit. Entry categories consist of age groups 4,5,6 and 7 year olds weighing 75 lbs or less. All contestants are required to wear protective helmets, they can bring their own or we will provide one. Scoring is simple, the longest rides get into the finals on Sunday at 12:00pm and the longest ride wins an official Rodeo Belt Buckle, like all Cowboys. The preliminaries begin Friday Night with Signup at 6:00 pm and riding at 7:00 pm.

Entry is $5.00 of each Mutton Buster and you can fill out the application prior to Riding on Friday (4/4/08) night. Spectators pay $1.00 for entry and food and concessions will be open, including that special Mutton Bustin T-Shirt vendor.
